The worm gear contains a worm and a worm wheel kinematically connected to each other. The worm wheel is made in the form of a gear wheel with straight teeth, the axis of rotation of which is rotated relative to the axis of rotation of the worm by an angle – αmº, where αmº is the angle of inclination of the line of the worm to its axis.
