A three-phase cascaded bridge compensation converter comprising a three-phase transformer, the secondary winding of which is connected to two three-phase bridge circuits interconnected in a cascade, respectively, in one bridge circuit in its anode group of electric valves the anodes are disconnected, and in the other in its cathode group of electric valves ˗ cathodes, while the anodes and cathodes of the disconnected groups of electric valves are connected in phase with each other and a three-phase capacitor bank is connected to their connection points. The three-phase transformer contains one secondary winding, the phases of which are connected to the corresponding phases of both cascaded three-phase bridge circuits, and the phase-connected electric valves are fully controllable.
