Method for producing a cellulose filter material includes adding a strengthening component to a cellulose suspension. A hydrophobizing component is added to the resulting fiber suspension. The resulting composition is molded into samples by casting and pressing. The pulp slurry is obtained from absolutely dry organosolvent pulp from miscanthus with a degree of grinding of 90-95°CP. The strengthening component is an aminating mixture consisting of epichlorohydrin and triethanolamine in a 1:1 ratio. The aminating mixture is added to the pulp suspension in an amount of 20 to 50 % by weight of absolutely dry pulp, followed by aging at a temperature of 40 ± 2°C for 30-120 minutes. Polyvinyl alcohol is used as a hydrophobic component at a consumption of 10-40% by weight of absolutely dry pulp. Samples of the filter material are formed with a weight of 80±5 g/m²
