The electromechanical system for accumulating gravitational energy contains a gravitational energy accumulator consisting of a rail track made to be placed on an inclined surface, a base station in which a skip hoist is installed for moving the skip, containing a drum with a traction cable wound on it, a brake, a traction motor-electric generator and a skip. The system additionally contains a frequency converter, the output of which is electrically connected to the input terminals of the motor through a switching device. The converter consists of a rectifier connected to the power source, a capacitor unit, and an inverter controlled by a frequency control system based on the criterion of maximum energy utilization of the power source.

The utility model belongs to energy and is intended to be used as a secondary source of energy supply in combination with generating plants that use alternative renewable energy sources.
