A waveguide-planar bandpass filter comprises a first rectangular waveguide, one end of which serves as the filter input and the opposite end is short-circuited. In the E-plane of which, in the middle between the narrow walls, a thin metal plate is installed with holes located on it along the axis of the said waveguide, which serve as filter resonators. It contains a second rectangular waveguide, one end of which serves as the filter output and the opposite end is short-circuited. A metal plate with holes similar to the first one is similarly installed in the E-plane. Both waveguides have a common narrow wall, which is made in the form of a thin metal plate with rectangular holes. The common narrow wall in the form of a thin metal plate additionally contains H-shaped holes that connect the filter resonators in pairs. The dimensions of the H-shaped holes are chosen so that their resonant frequency is lower than the lower frequency of the filter passband.

The utility model belongs to the wiring diagrams of hybrid-integral filters in the centimeter and millimeter wavelength ranges. Filters of this type are usually used as part of the transceiver equipment of broadband wireless systems, in radar complexes, etc.
