Globe machine vises contain a housing in which a pair of racks with rotating jaws are placed. One of the racks is equipped with a drive for rotating the jaws. The housing is made cross-shaped in the horizontal plane, and a second additional pair of racks is placed on it, structurally identical to the first pair and located perpendicular to it. Each vise rack is equipped with a drive for translational movement in the horizontal plane. In the center of the housing, at the intersection, there is a table for installing the workpiece, which is equipped with a drive for translational movement in the vertical direction. The drives for rotating the jaws and the drives for translational movement of the racks and the table are made in the form of stepper motors equipped with encoders. The vise is equipped with a unit with a numerical program control system, which is connected to each of the drives and encoders and connects them together.
