The method of testing the pipe for strength and density includes sealing the pipe at both ends, removing air from it, creating a test pressure inside the pipe, holding it for a set time at this pressure and drawing up a conclusion about its strength and density in the absence of residual deformation. Pressure is created at heating of pipe partially filled with working fluid and sealed, and beginning of residual deformation is determined at point of change of slope angle of dependence graph:

Δa=f(t),

where Δ a = at-a0,

a0 – the size of the cross section of the pipe in the middle part of its length before the test,

at – pipe cross-section dimension during test at temperature change t.

Proposed utility model relates to testing equipment, namely to heat engineering, and can be used in development of heat exchange equipment, in particular, evaporation-condensation devices and systems based on them.
