The declared method of increasing the accuracy of the gyrocompass on the maneuver is that the gyrocompass is added to the observation device, which creates a mathematical model of gyrokompas errors only on the internal signals of the gyrocompass. Then, during the operation of the gyrocompass, constantly measure the value of the signal of the horizon indicator and compare it with the set limit value, and, when exceeding the measured value of the signal according to the module of the specified limit value on the created model errors,hardware or programmatically assess the error of the gyrocompass and the rate measured by the slidepass value deducted the calculated error estimate without switching to the mode of preservation of the meridian at the time of maneuver. The invention allows to increase the accuracy of the gyrocompass on the maneuver by increasing its reliability and eliminating the problem of bringing the main axis of the device to the meridian from the large initial angles of deviation.
